Studying at the Feet of the Masters
In July, I was able to return to my happy place in Riondel B.C. under the great Kokanee Glacier and overlooking Kootenay Lake. This will be my third year in a row of taking Pulse Diagnosis with Dr. William Morris PhD. Dr. Will is also my Medical Astrology teacher and I am also entering into my 3rd year with this modality.
To study at the feet of a Master means that my practice has been dramatically changing. Fundamentally, Reiki is my bedrock and now I have the spirit of Classical Chinese Medicine and the knowledge of the stars mapped over your body to guide my hands and my tuning forks.
Sound and energy medicine has become the pillars I work with and I have seen astounding results in my clients in their mind, body and spirit.
One thing I seem to lack as I enter further and further into this forest of the ancients is that my client base is changing. Things have been quiet as I integrate and process the recent dark night of the soul I have undergone. Fears rise up and tell me I'm irrelevant and invisible. They tell me, I wasted my time and money training for 3-4 years. I’ve lost my audience, my conduits for this work. It truly has been agonizing some days because all I want is to help someone, to make a difference.
In Chinese Medicine, there are 8 Extraordinary Vessels. Essentially, these vessels are the entire blueprint of your creation, creation itself. They form the sacred geometry known as the Merkabah. These vessels are barely touched on in Traditional Chinese Medicine schools in the West. Two of these vessels are known as the Yin Wei Mai and the Yang Wei Mai. These are the inner and outer gates and their points (or portals of entry) are the Pericardium 6 and the San Jiao 5. Regardless of whether that means anything to you or not, they represent who we let into our deepest chambers and who we are as we relate to the outside world. They are the psychosocial vessels and they are so tender. I approach them with the utmost sacredness if your pulse gives me indications that these vessels are wanting to be treated. More importantly, there are virtues behind them. Faith and Trust.
This is where I have been living. Having to walk this path of faith and trust. It hasn’t been a waste and you will return to my table. I know, dear ones, my frequency has dramatically altered and my healing identity is shifting. My other mentor, Dr. Erin Taylor says, “They’re coming for you, Sam”. This is the trust and faith I need to walk with. As I adjust to these upgrades, you will find me and I will find you. Dr. Will says that whomever you have the pleasure of treating is your Dharma.
This is fate, in a way. I call it resonance.
